WordCast posts

For some reason, Dave can’t talk. However, he can type well enough to write this, and also the show notes from this lovely episode in which we talked about WordPress 2.8.1, stupid backwards ideas, surveys that are already closed, and delicious plugins. Yum!

We took a little step down from our rage of last week, but Kym put on a french accent for a lot of the episode, so you still have some sort of entertainment. From the 1.0 release of bbPress, to the concept of desktop blogging, to possibly illegal themes, it’s all in this week’s WordCast.

Hi Guys – Love the podcast.
I’m wondering if you can recommend a plug-in for me. Â I have a
directory of about 500 contacts and I would like to display them in a
search-able fashion on my Wordpress site.
Do you know of any address book or directory type plugin that would
allow users to search based on a key word from a specific contact? Â I
know I can paste the info into a page but then when something on the
page is searched for the result brings up the page and not the
specific location on the page. Â With a list of 500 that type of search
is quite useless. Â I guess there is the option to put each contact
into a separate post but there has to be a better way.
Any help is appreciated. Â Keep up the good work.

We hope we don’t offend any other capitans out there, but our favorite one is definitely the WordPress superhero we found this week. We talk about signs that you might be a WordPress Geek, WordPress as a CMS (again), and even rag on some billionaires.

We love alliteration this week on WordCast, therefore we can’t stop. But no worries, WordPress will still be working its’ wonderful part in this week’s wacky wonderfest. (Darn… did it again.) From Twitter to space (to Twitter in space) and everything WordPress in between, you won’t want to miss a minute.
